ASHLAND PLACE Historic District is located just north of Alvarado Historic District. It is  (E) of Central Ave., (S) of Vernon Ave., (W) of 3rd St. and (N) of Oak St.  Architecture most common in Ashland Place is the Bungalow and Period Revival Styles. Ashland Place was developed when by Dwight B. Heard with the demand for smaller lots. These homes were primarily built between 1923-1927. Ashland Place is neighboring with East Alvarado and Alvarado.
