21 Great Reasons to Buy a House in Phoenix

I like the number 21. I think it’s a good number; and also the number of reasons to buy a home in Phoenix, Arizona:

  1. Home affordability- purchase a home in Phoenix or its surrounding areas without the outlandish price tag. Many homes are under $150k.
  2. Inventory- with the thousands of homes on the market, you are sure to find the house that is perfect for you.
  3. Mortgage rates- take advantage of all time low mortgage rates.
  4. IRS tax credit- up to $8,000 for first time home buyers for a primary home and $6,500 for repeat home buyers.
  5. Your Way Home AZ program- if you qualify, you will get 22% second silent (interest free) loan.
  6. Low real estate taxes- Arizona has one of the lowest real estate taxes in the nation.
  7. Mortgage rate deductions- if you deduct your interest rate you will pay less in taxes.
  8. Appreciation- the market has its ups and downs. Buy when the market is down and wait to see it go up.
  9. Home ownership- it is wonderful to have a place that you can call your own.
  10. Remodeling- decorate and redecorate whenever you want, only if you want to.
  11. Golf- love the game? Arizona has over 400 golf courses to choose from. Golf all year round. Yes, I’ve seen golfers out during the hot summer months- for the love of the game.
  12. Live in the Grand Canyon State- hike, camp, white water rafting in the Grand Canyon.
  13. Hiking trails- Abundance in hiking trails and campgrounds.
  14. Las Vegas; San Diego; Los Angeles; Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico- weekend getaway only approximately 5 hour drive.
  15. Climate- Sunshine for over 300 days each year.
  16. Home of the Major League Baseball- Enjoy the game at affordable pricing.
  17. Skiing- only a 2 hour drive from Phoenix to the Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff or the Sunrise Ski Resort only a 4 hour drive from Phoenix.
  18. Dry heat- although it can get really hot, the overall humidity is extremely low which makes being outdoors more bearable.
  19. Lakes- do you want to water ski, jet ski, or do some boating, there are several beautiful lakes surrounded by mountains, just a short distance away.
  20. Salt River Tubing- enjoy a leisurely ride down a natural river in a tube.
  21. Route 66- we have all heard of Route 66 but here you can be a part of this historical stretch of highway, which starts in Los Angeles, California and goes all the way to Chicago, Illinois.
